Biography

Magnus Larsson was a Swedish tennis player who played professionally from 1989 to 2004. Larsson achieved a career-best singles ranking of 10 in the world in April 1995, and a doubles ranking of 26 in the world in January 1995. He earned more than $5.8 million in prize money during his career.

Larsson won his first ATP singles and doubles titles in Firenze, Italy, in 1990 and 1991, respectively. He competed in the singles at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, losing in the third round to Emilio Sánchez Vicario. He represented Sweden in the Davis Cup from 1992 to 2003 and was part of the team that won the tournament in 1994 and 1997. He reached the singles semi-finals at the 1994 French Open where he lost to Alberto Berasategui of Spain. The following year Larsson and partner Nicklas Kulti reached the doubles final at the French Open but lost to the Dutch pair of Jacco Eltingh and Paul Haarhuis.
