Biography

Sverre Jensen was school champion in football at the Vestheim School in 1908 and soon after joined the club Ready in Kristiania (now Oslo). There, he played as a midfielder until 1916. His début in the national team was the match against Austria at the 1912 Olympic Games which Norway lost 1-0. Later that year, he played his only other game for Norway. In 1912 and 1913 he became Norwegian champion in bandy for his club.

Jensen worked as a salesman and married Gudrun Schwartz in 1928. The first of their three children was born in Shanghai in China, where the family may have lived at the time.
