Biography

Norwegian football midfielder Egil Johansen played in 104 matches for Vålerenga from 1983 to 1987, scoring 25 goals for the team. For the 1987–88 season Johansen had a brief spell for the Belgian side KSK Beveren before returning to Norway to play at Frigg Oslo FK for a season. He finished his domestic career with another spell at Vålerenga in 1990–91 playing in a further 20 matches.

Johansen made his international début for Norway in June 1984 scoring a goal in the match against Iceland. He represented Norway 12 times including in three matches at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
