Biography

Peruvian football midfielder Héctor de Guevara played for several teams during the 1960s including the national side. De Guevara began his career with La Salle, which was followed with spells at Deportivo Municipal and Sport Boys. His good performances with his domestic clubs resulted in him being named the captain of the national team for the 1960 Roma Olympics. Three years later he played in four matches for Peru at the 1963 South American Championship in Bolivia. In 1965 De Guevara had signed for Defensor Arica before finishing his playing career with Porvenir Miraflores.
