Biography

Zbigniew Gut began playing with his local Iskra Wymiarki football team, then moved up to a third-tier team, Promień Żary, after which he joined the top level team, Odra Opole (1968-74). He was best known for his play with Odra Opole, where he played right-side defense. After the 1972 Olympics, Gut played in the 1974 World Cup for Poland, playing in one qualifier and one match in the final draw.

He then joined Lech Poznań (1974-79) before playing for several years in France with Paris FC (1980-81), Stade Français (1981-82), and Red Star FC (1982-84). He settled in France and later lived in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, where he eventually died.
