Biography

Josef Börjesson played for Göteborgs FF as a goalkeeper. In 1911 and 1912, he represented Sweden in four international matches including both matches at the 1912 Olympic Games, which were both lost. He had his début in a friendly against Germany in 1911 which was won by Sweden 3-1 in Hamburg. Sweden’s 1-0 against Italy in the consolation tournament at the Olympics was his last international appearance.

Börjesson was a merchant and ran a milk shop. He was married to Hildur Elida Algotsdotter, with whom he had one son and one daughter.
