Biography

Hans Lindman played as a midfielder for IFK Uppsala in two Swedish championships finals (1907, 1908) both of which ended in defeat His career with Uppsala lasted from 1901-14. In 1908, he played six games for the Swedish national team including Sweden’s first two matches at the London Olympics. They finished fourth after two defeats against England and the Netherlands. Four years later Lindman acted as a linesman at Finland’s win against Russia during the Olympic tournament. He won his seventh and last cap in 1911 in the 5-2 win against Finland. He captained the national team in three games.

In addition to football, Hans Lindman played bandy successfully and helped IFK Uppsala win five Swedish championship titles in 1907, 1910, 1911, 1912, and 1913. He also represented Sweden internationally in bandy.

Lindman worked in a bank first as a clerk later as a manager. He was married to Signe Katrina Nyberg. They had one son.
