Biography

Herman Myrberg was a striker from Göteborg, who played Örgryte IS beginning in 1908. With this club he won two Swedish cup championships in 1909 and 1913. He played a total of 10 matches for the national team between 1909 and 1913, scoring 2 goals. Myrberg also captained the team for six matches including the two at the 1912 Olympic Games. Sweden, however lost both matches.

Myrberg worked as a bank clerk in Göteborg and died from the Spanish flu epidemic at the age of 29. He was survived by his wife Elsa Axeline Matilda by 65 years. In 1926, he was awarded the “Stor Grabb” badge in football posthumously.
