Biography

Dante Washington was a soccer (football) striker who played in college at Radford University. He was on the US national team from 1991-97, earning six caps, in addition to his 1992 Olympic appearance. Washington signed with the Columbus Crew of MLS in 1996 but was soon traded to the Dallas Burn. He played in Dallas for three years before returning to the Crew for the 2000-02 seasons. He then played a season with the Virginia Beach Mariners, returned to the Crew for another season, and then finished his MLS career in 2005 with Real Salt Lake. Washington later became a soccer color analyst for the Crew on the Ohio News Network.
