Biography

Muhamed Mujić was a Bosnian striker who played for Yugoslavia at the 1956 Olympics, winning a silver medal. He also represented Yugoslavia at the 1962 FIFA World Cup. In their first match against the Soviet Union, Mujić collided with Eduard Dubinsky and broke his leg. Considered a brutal collision, Mujić was oddly not penalized but was sent home by his team.

Mujić played for various clubs, having three terms with Velež Mostar (1950-62, 1964-66, 1966-68), and playing in France for Bordeaux (1962-63), in Croatia with Dinamo Zagreb (1963-64), and for Koninklijke Beringen FC in Belgium briefly in 1966. He was on the Yugoslav national team from 1956-62, earning 32 caps. Mujić later managed Velež Mostar in 1976-77 and 1982-83.
