Biography

A former Yorkshire amateur champion, Amy Jagger was a member of the Halifax RES (Recreative Evening School) Gymnasts Club that won the 1929 national team title, as it heralded the start of three consecutive successes. At the 1930 national championship, Jagger finished third behind Halifax team-mate Annie Broadbent. The following year Jagger won the Northern Counties title, but did not defend it in 1932. In 1933 she married dental technician John Fisher.
