Biography

From 1938 to 1953 Anna Fehér was a competitor of PSE. In 1944 and 1945 Fehér won the national all-around women’s gymnastics champion title. In addition she also won the Hungarian championship in 1940, 1941, 1943, and 1944 on the beam, in free exercise and apparatus in 1944, and in 1945 in artistic free exercise and rhythmic.

Between 1940 and 1952 Fehér was a member of the Hungarian national team. At the 1947 Balkan Games she finished first in the team all-around and third in the individual all-around. At the 1948 London Olympics she was a member of the Hungarian team that won the silver medal.

After her retirement she returned to gymnastics with a coaching diploma from the College of Physical Education. She undertook coaching duties at Ferencvárosi Vasutas, Budapesti Előre, and later at the Postás association. Her main occupation was a postal clerk.
