Luigi Cambiaso was twice a member of the victorious Italian gymnastics squad that took the Olympic gold in 1920 and 1924. Cambiaso been a gymnastics prodigy, first competing in the Italian Championships at age 12, in 1907. In 1920, he won the international competition at Venice. He became coach of the Società Ginnastica Andrea Doria and later president of his club Ginnastica Sampierdarenese.
