Maurice Palgen represented the Cercle Grand-Ducal d’Escrime et de Gymnastique in Luxembourg’s capital city. He placed 17th at the first national trials in January 1912. After the final trials in June, Palgen was selected as a reserve. At the Olympic Games in Stockholm, the team from Luxembourg including Palgen placed fifth and last in the free system team event. Palgen worked as deputy depot manager for the state railway C.F.L.
