Biography

Leander Keim competed in four events at the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. He competed in the individual all-around (46th); the individual all-around, apparatus work (60th); the individual all-around, field sports (=25th); and the team all-around, apparatus work and field sports (8th). Keim represented the Davenport Turngemeinde in Iowa, where he was the head of the gymnastics committee. Keim worked as a millwright at French & Hecht Co. for over 25 years. He was a member of the Davenport Central Turner Society and the Davenport Moose Lodge.
