Biography

Horst Jankhöfer was on the East German handball team at the 1972 München Olympics that unfortunately lost the bronze medal match, 19-16, against Romania. He earned four international caps and scored four goals. Domestically, he played with SC DHfK Leipzig. Jankhöfer later became a full-time coach with Einheit Halle-Neustadt, ZAB Dessau, and HG 85 Köthen until re-unification.
