Biography

Dagmar Stelberg was on the West German handball squad that finished fourth in the round-robin tournament at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. She won 219 international caps and scored 832 goals.

Domestically, Stelberg played with VfL Engelskirchen and Tus Walle Bremen. She helped Bremen to win three German Cups, five German Championships in 1991-92, 1994-96, and the European Cup Winners’ Cup. Since 1999, she took over the management of the handball section of SV Werder Bremen. By profession, she was a trained bank clerk.
