Biography
Michael Paul was on the West German handball squad at the1984 Los Angeles Olympics that won the silver medal after losing 18-17 in the final to Yugoslavia. Therefore, all players were awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. He won 32 international caps and scored 72 goals.
Domestically, he played with SG Dietzenbach, TV Großwallstadt (winning three German Championships), TV Gelnhausen, Frisch Auf Güppingen, and TV Hüttenberg in the Bundesliga.
