Biography

Right forward Bernd Roos was on the German handball squad at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics when the team finished a disappointing tenth. Eight years later at Sydney the team finished fifth. He won 130 international caps and scored 500 goals. Domestically, he played with TV Kirchzell (until 1988), TV Großwallstadt (1988-2003), and Kirchzell again (2003-07). Roos helped Großwallstadt win the German Cup in 1989 and the German national title in 1990. He later started a coaching career with lower league clubs.
