Biography

Zdzisław Antczak played handball for Poland at the 1972 and 1976 Olympics, helping them win a bronze medal in 1976. A right-winger, Antczak won six Polish titles and won the Polish Cup twice. He was on the national team from 1969-76, earning 81 international caps, and scoring 156 goals. At the 1974 World Cup Antczak was chosen as the best right-wing in the tournament. In the mid-90s, the ZPRP honored Antczak with the Diamond Badge for outstanding achievements. In 2001, he was recognized as the best Polish right wing of the 20th century.
