Biography

Robert Zawada was a Polish handball player whose career spanned more than 20 years, with him playing for Wybrzeże Gdańsk and Stal Mielec. Zawada also represented the Poland national handball team from 1960 to 1972, becoming the first person to play in 100 international matches for the side. He competed at several international tournaments including two editions of the World Championships (1966, 1970), and the 1972 München Olympics. Following his playing career Zawada turned to coaching and worked with his former club Stal Mielec.
