Biography

Jaroslav Konečný won a silver medal in handball with the Czechoslovakian team at the 1972 München Olympics. He also won a gold medal at the 1967 World Championships. Konečný played for KPS Brno in 1972, but also played for Dukla Praha, where he helped win a Czechoslovak title. He also helped the team win the title in 1967 at the Swedish Västeras tournament. Konečný was later made an honorary citizen at the Brno City Hall.
