Biography

Darrick Heath started in college at Finger Lakes Community College in New York, before attending C. W. Post College, where he played basketball. He started playing handball with the Garden City club on Long Island, and quickly moved up to the US National Team. He won national titles with Garden City in 1988, 1989, and 1993. From 1993-95 he played professionally in Europe, first with the Elektromos Club of Budapest and then in Graz, Austria.

Heath stayed on the US National Team through 2003. He worked from 2001-11 with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. In 2011-12 he was coach of the US National Team Handball team. Heath also worked as a lecturer at Emory University from 2002-12.
