Biography

After winning a silver medal at the 1995 Pan American Games as Corinna Broz, Corinna West competed in judo at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. She had a rank of shodan while an Olympic competitor.

Broz-West was a three-time national champion. Her career was interrupted by a traumatic brain injury from a bicycle wreck. She studied pharmaceutical chemistry, earning a masters’ degree, and later started her own company, Wellness Wordworks, whose mission is to spread the idea that emotional distress is temporary and transformative, by providing research, artwork, peer support, and programs to model this change in our approach to mental health care.
