Biography

Half-heavyweight Austrian judoka Robert Köstenberger participated in two Olympics, at Moskva (Moscow) in 1980 and Los Angeles 1984. He was eliminated in the pool stages on both occasions. In 1982, he won the European Championships and added two bronze medals in 1979 and 1984. Additionally Köstenberger also won 12 Austrian national titles and three Military World Championships.
