Biography

Johann Pollak competed in judo for Austria at the 1972 and 1976 Olympics. He was Austrian Junior Champion in 1972-73 and won a state title in 1975. He also competed at the 1971 and 1972 European Championships. At the 1972 World Student Championships he won silver as a heavyweight and bronze in Open Class.

Pollak was World Military Champion in 1971 and 1973. He placed fifth at the 1975 World Championships. His career was as an artist. Pollak worked as a painter, woodcutter, engraver, and sculptor.
