Biography

Steffen Stranz was a West German lightweight judoka who participated in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics but did not reach the final round. Four years later at Seoul, he finished fifth. He also won two bronze medals at the World Championships (1983 and 1985) and two European bronzes (1983 and 1987). Nationally, he won six individual titles from 1982-87. By profession, Stranz became a dentist with an own practice at Kassel.
