Biography
Joseph Wanag was a judoka who attended San José State University, where he won a collegiate championship. In addition to his 1992 Olympic appearance, Wanag competed internationally multiple times, winning at the 1990 Universiade, the 1991 Pan American Games, and the 1991 Pacific Rim Championships. Wanag was second at the 1991 World Championships. He was US Champion in 1990 and 1991. Wanag trained under sensei Kiyoshi Shiina.
