Biography

Very little is known about the career of Frederick Osborne. His seems to have started boxing competitively in 1904 when he competed in the Belsize Boxing Club’s featherweight novices’ competition. He took part in the 1908 ABA Championships, and lost a disputed lightweight contest to Denmark’s Valdemar Holberg. However, Osborne was part of the Great Britain team at the Olympics later that year, but lost to George Jessup in his first round contest.
