Biography

Rower Frank Klawonn won the gold medal with the East German coxed fours at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. With this boat, Klawonn also won two world titles in 1986 and 1987 and the same crew were also national champions in 1986, 1988-89. In 1990, he was member of the coxed pairs that won the last East German title.

In 1991, the same crew won the title in re-unified Germany. Klawonn later became a graduated finance and tax consultant and worked with the tax authority at Potsdam.
