Biography

German rower Antje Rehaag was a member of the eights crew at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics that finished eighth. In 1993, she won the bronze medal at the World Championships with the eights and the following year enjoyed her greatest moment in the sport when becoming World Champion.

Domestically, Rehaag won the double sculls national title with the non-Olympian Martina Kubicki in 1989. From 1988-90 Rehaag won three national quadruple sculls titles. With the eights she won the national title in 1993 and 1995-96. With non-Olympian Andrea Klapheck she also won the 1993 coxless pairs title at the nationals.

Rehaag later married Dutch rower, and two-time Olympic gold medallist, Ronald Florijn and they became the parents of two other Dutch Olympic rowers, Karolien Florijn and Finn Florijn.
