Tibor Badari was European Amateur Champion as a bantamweight in 1971 and in the featherweight class in 1975. He competed on the Hungarian national team from 1967-76 and won eight Hungarian national titles. He later became a boxing coach in the Army and for Zuglói BC, and then worked as a supervisor for the Hungarian Boxing Federation.
