Biography

Thomas Domian was a member of the West German eights that won the gold medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. As a result, all crew members were awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. The same year, the crew also won the national title. In 1986 and 1987, Domian finished sixth with the eights at the World Championships. Professionally, he became an asset advisor and investment banker at Dresdner Bank, and later ran a financial consultancy.
