Biography
Ervin Mórich started his rowing career with Neptun EE, originally as a single sculler, but he achieved his best results in the double sculls with Béla Szendey. Together they won the Hungarian Championship three times (1923-25) and took part in the 1924 Paris Olympics. In 1926, Mórich accepted the offer of the Hungarian Rowing Association to work as a federal coach, and later he became the coach of the FTC rowing division.
Mórich also worked as a physical education teacher and was secretary general of the KISOK (National Centre for High School Sport Associations), where he played a significant role in teaching rowing. After World War II, he was dismissed from his job, and went to live in Great Britain where he died in 1982.
