Einar Eriksen was the coxswain of the Norske Studenters Roklubb team in the coxed four at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm. After advancing by forfeit in the first round, they lost to the eventual silver medallists from the Thames Rowing Club.
Eriksen worked as a dentist in Kristiania (now Oslo). He was married to Molly Clasen. The couple had three daughters and one son.
