New Zealand rower Lex Clark represented the Oamaru Rowing Club and the North End Rowing Club in Dunedin. From 1964 to 1966 Clark was also a member of the national team, competing at several international events. In 1964 he was part of the eight crew that rowed at the Tokyo Olympics, placing fifth in the B Final to finish 11th overall. Two years later he represented New Zealand at the World Rowing Championships at Lake Bled in Yugoslavia. After finishing his competitive rowing career Clark became an official in the sport, overseeing multiple regattas.
