Biography

Teresa Bell won a silver medal in lightweight double sculls at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, rowing alongside Lindsay Burns. Bell was on the US rowing team from 1991-97, and competed at six World Championships, in lightweight doubles every year except 1993 when she rowed the lightweight single. Bell won three medals at the World Championships, a silver in 1991 and bronzes in 1992 and 1994. She also set three records at the Head of the Charles regatta.

Bell, as Teresa Zarzeczny, graduated from St. Joseph’s University. She later worked in Medford, New Jersey in the public school system, and then became an administrative assistant at Duall Building Restoration, and then Dewberry Engineers.
