Biography

Tracy Rude graduated from Syracuse University in 1990, where she rowed on the crew team. In addition to her Olympic appearance, Rude competed three times at the World Championships, in the four and eight in 1990, winning a silver medal in the eight, and in the pair in 1991. In 1991 Rude was US Champion in the eight and was second in the four with and four without.

While training for international competition, Rude worked as a vice-president of investor relations at Core States Bank. She was inducted into the Orange Plus (Syracuse) Hall of Fame in 1999. Rude also served as President of the Syracuse Alumni Rowing Assocition (SARA).
