Biography

Nancy Storrs attended Williams College, graduating in 1973. Over the next seven years she competed at five World Championships, the 1976 Olympics, and made the 1980 US Olympic team that did not compete. Storrs won two silver medals at the Worlds, in the eight in 1975, known as the “Red Rose Crew,” and the coxed four in 1978.

She just missed another medal in 1978 when the eight placed fourth. In 1983 she served as manager for the US junior team at the World Junior Championships. She later settled in St. Catharine’s, Ontario, where she was a rowing coach at Ridley College and with the Ridley Graduate Boat Club for over 30 years, and has won several awards as Ontario and Canada coach-of-the-year.
