Biography

Primo Zamparini was an Italian boxer who lost in the final at the 1960 Roma Olympics to Soviet Oleg Grigoryev. He remained an amateur after the Olympics, winning a bronze medal at the 1961 European Championships in Beograd.

Later in 1961 Zamparini turned professional and fought three bouts in Australia, but he retired in early 1966, beginning a new job as a teacher. He later helped train athletes with the club A.S.D. Pugilistica Fabrianese Liberti.
