David Griffiths was a long-time member of the Welsh national shooting team but made only a single appearance for Great Britain at the Olympics. His performances in Stockholm placed in the middle of the rankings in both events he contested. Griffiths worked as a mining engineer in the South Wales coalfields and also saw military service with the Welsh Regiment of the British Army.
