East German rifle shooter Katja Klepp competed for East Germany at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. She finished an unfortunate fourth in the small-bore rifle event and 37th in the air rifle event. In 1988, she won her only national title. Klepp later married teammate Bernhard Hochwald and became sister-in-law of his half-brother Raimund Bethge.
