Biography

Hans-Joachim Mars was a sports shooter from Leipzig. He finished 12th at the 1960 Roma Summer Olympics in free rifle. Mars competed for GST-Klub Leipzig with the United German team. In 1956-59 and 1961 Mars won East German titles in three-positions, and in 1958, 1961 and 1963 in the prone event, adding titles in 1956-59 kneeling.
