Carl Wollert’s father was a farmer. He married Amalia Ulrika “Ami” (née Johansson). The family, with three sons and three daughters, lived in Tierp. Carl started working as a bookkeeper and later became a merchant and businessman. In 1908 he founded a farmer’s shop and additionally bought a mill in 1934. The company still exists as Wollerts Spannmål. At the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, Wollert came close to a medal, placing fourth in the trap team event.
