Austrian diver Erich Pils participated at the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics. He competed in the springboard event and was eliminated in the qualification round. Pils participated in one World (1986) and three European Championships (1985, 1987, 1989), with an eighth place in 1985 as his best international result.
Pils trained as an electrician and later became a sports teacher and massage therapist. He headed St. Pölten High Performance Centre and became its sports director.
