Biography

French competitive swimmer Roland Boullanger represented Sporting Club Universitaire de France where he specialised in the breaststroke. In 1960 Boullanger became the national champion in the 100 metres breaststroke at the Piscine des Tourelles aquatic venue. This result earned him a place on the French Olympic team for the Roma Games; however, he finished a disappointing 35th in the 200 metres event. He was also part of the French quartet for the 4 × 100 metres medley relay, with the team finishing 11th.
