Biography
Swimmer Helga Zimmermann failed to reach the 400 IM final at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. She was eliminated in the heats. Zimmermann won two silvers and one bronze in the 400 IM at the East German championships. In 1962 she won the 4x100 medley relay with SC Empor Rostock.
