Biography

West German diver Elke Heinrichs participated in both the 1984 Los Angeles and 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. At Los Angeles, she failed to reach the final in the platform event, and in Seoul also failed in the qualification round of the springboard event. In 1982 she won the national springboard title, and in 1981-82, and 1985 also won the platform title. Heinrichs later became an educational advisor at Elsdorf near Aachen.
