Biography
German swimmer Walter Ramme finished fifth in the 100 freestyle at the 1912 Stockholm Olympic Games. Only one year later he immigrated to the United States. In 1915 Ramme was a member of the New York Athletic Club and set a relay world record in the 4x50 yard freestyle.
