Biography

Nils Dag Strømme was one of the best boxers from Kristiansand. He started out as a ski jumper, before becoming a boxer with AIK Lund when he was 15 years old. Between 1963 and 1972, Strømme won nine national championships, in addition to becoming the Nordic featherweight champion in 1969. He also won three King’s Cups and represented Norway at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics and the 1972 München Olympics.
